MegaSeg features the dual-deck interface design found in most DJ Software programs, providing a great deal of space for track queues below each deck. Use of the interface is hardly intuitive, with latency and delay taking place for many tasks such as looping and real time effects.

Despite a bare-bones set of tools and features and unpolished design, many users will be attracted to MegaSeg for its instant compatibility with the Mac OS. However, most higher-end DJ Software Programs are compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems.

Input/Output:  

MegaSeg can import a variety of audio file formats, but is designed to be fully integrated with iTunes libraries, while even providing instant access to the iTunes Store. MegaSeg can also serve as a line-in for compatible MIDI and external controller devices.

MegaSeg can record and publish sets to MP3 or CD, and even provides tools for online broadcasting.

Performance:  

MegaSeg can take up a large amount of CPU space, which in turn slows speeds and causes delays in loops, effects and simple transitions. While this might not matter for home use, using this in a public setting could prove disappointing, or worse, disastrous.
