Versa Mix includes a set of HP-500 headphones, which is likely the only incentive to use this program, other than its compatibility with other American Audio products.
The interface follows the standard dual-deck design, with crossfader, master tempo and other master controls. The media library can be difficult to navigate through with importing and categorizing proving more difficult than other programs.
Versa Mix can import a variety of audio file formats, but loss of compression quality and sound integrity is more apparent than in other programs, requiring additional applications to restore and improve audio compression.
Versa Mix’s biggest appeal comes in its compatibility with other American Audio MIDI and external controller devices.
Versa Mix’s performances are mediocre at best. While in the right hands, it is likely this program could produce advanced, professional-grade results, the same can be said for virtually every other program in existence.
Versa Mix could make an excellent learner program, but given the direction that most DJ Software programs have taken, even the more advanced programs provide a user-friendly design that new users could quickly become familiar with.

Though Versa Mix is likely to be attractive to owners of American Audio MIDI and external controller devices, this program offers very little tools and features, providing only the bare minimum.
